RJA Research Grant Application Guidelines

 

The Robinson Jeffers Association provides several grants a year of up to $1,000.00 that can be used in support of scholarly research, translation, performances of or creations of original artwork associated with Jeffers, publication expenses (e.g. permissions), and educational projects at all levels such as curriculum design and new teaching initiatives. Applications are reviewed year-round by the RJA Executive Committee. Applicants need not be members of RJA to apply.

Application Requirements:

  1. Cover letter.
  2. Description of project, including a time-line.
  3. Full budget.
  4. Current Curriculum Vitae; feel free to include copies of relevant publications or other supporting works that reflect your interest in and qualification to execute the proposed project.
  5. Two letters of support.
  6. Information on any institutions or organizations that will also be involved in the execution of the project.

RJA will do its utmost to respond to completed applications within six weeks.
RJA may fund a project in full or in part.
RJA expects applicants to disclose other funding applications and awards.

If a project is funded, applicant agrees to acknowledge the Robinson Jeffers Association in all publications, lectures, and public announcements related to the project.
