The next issue of Jeffers Studies—with contributions by Richard Drake, Whitney Hoth, Tim Hunt, James Karman, and Robert Zaller—is on its way to the printer. It should be ready for distribution before the February conference.
Congratulations to Jeffers scholar Deborah Fleming for the publication of Resurrection of the Wild: Meditations on Ohio’s Natural Landscape (Kent State University Press, 2019). The book, longlisted for the 2020 PEN/Diamonstein-Spielvogel Award for the Art of the Essay, is one of nine small-press publications described as “dazzling” by the Chicago Review of Books.
Vince Huth is stepping down as president of the Tor House Foundation. Vince has been a devoted steward of the Tor House property and a loyal friend of RJA. We are grateful for all he has done to preserve and promote Jeffers’ legacy. Elliot Ruchowitz-Roberts, a lifetime member of RJA and a trustee of the Tor House Foundation, has agreed to serve as the Foundation’s interim president.
